The Team.

Michael is one of the founders of Miles Commercial and specialises in Professional and Consultancy work including rent reviews, lease renewals and strategic property advice. Throughout his 35 plus years in the area he has been involved with a wide range of properties in the Knightsbridge, Chelsea, Kensington and Fulham areas from single let retail units to the Knightsbridge Estate.

Amongst the clients that Michael is currently advising are The Sloane Stanley Estate, The Cadogan Estate, The Genesis Pension Fund, Royal Brompton Hospital and Harvey White Properties.

He has been the principle surveyor for the Genesis Fund since 1992. Furthermore, he has been the principle surveyor for the Royal Brompton Hospitals’ portfolio for the last 15 years, which extends from the Fulham Road to the Kings Road.

He has carried out work for clients in Switzerland, Malta, Ireland, Barbados and the South of France. Also, he has advised one of the main shareholders in the sale of the largest shopping centre in Malta in 2013.

He is a director of over a dozen different companies in the UK, and is a Trustee of the Truants Charity which has raised over £5.4 million for Nordoff Robbins, Save the Children, Teenage Cancer Trust & ChildLine from 9 bike rides and 11 golf days (over the last 14 years). Furthermore, he has raised over £400K over the last 18 years for a small rugby union club which has used the money to build a changing room, install drainage, install floodlights, and provided professional coaching.

He has been married for over 30 Years and has 3 children. He is a past Captain of Royal Mid Surrey Golf Club which has nearly 1,400 members.

Peter is one of the founding partners of Miles Commercial and is recognised as a leading light in the office agency market of Knightsbridge, South Kensington and Chelsea. Having specialised in this market for over 25 years Peter has a great working knowledge of the area, the buildings and tenants. He was involved from the start of the redevelopment of Duke of York’s Square and continues to advise the landlord on office lettings. Peter has advised most of the local landlords on their office space at some point in recent years and continues to be involved in some of the more significant buildings in his ‘local patch’.

Peter started his property career at Folkard & Hayward before spending a number of years working for Bovis Group in Paris perfecting his French and displaying his well known joie de vivre!!

Peter comes from Halifax in Yorkshire and despite spending many years down south he retains his northern charm and sense of humour. Outside work he enjoys sailing, riding, fishing, tennis and fine wine.

Ian joined Miles Commercial in 2011 and graduated from the University of the West of England, Bristol with a BSc (Hons) in Property Management and Investment. He is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).

Ian specialises in office, retail and restaurant agency. His experience also encompass dealing with rent reviews, lease renewals and investments on behalf of a broad range of clients.

He enjoys his golf and plays off a single figure handicap at Tandridge Golf Club in Oxted, Surrey. Besides golf, he enjoys many other sports including rugby, football and tennis.

James joined Miles Commercial in June 2017 as a Placement Student and returned in 2021 as a Property Manager. Following his achievement of 1^st class honours in an accountancy degree, James obtained a MSc Degree in Real Estate at Cass Business School. James is now working towards his APC.

At Miles Commercial, James works within the property management team where he’s responsible for rent and service charge collection and facilitates the co-ordination of specialist services such as insurance procurement. Furthermore, he provides strategic advice on rent reviews and lease renewals on Miles Commercial’s extensive property portfolio. As well as working in the West End of London, James has had experience of working in international property markets during his time in Malta.

In his spare time, James enjoys socialising and keeping active. He is also a Truant’s member, which involves representing the charity and organising events to raise money for Nordoff Robins, Save The Children, Teenage Cancer Trust & Childline to support their ongoing projects.

Alison has been a longstanding member of the Miles Commercial team, having joined in 1993. She currently heads the accounts department.

John Keenan has been a consultant to Miles Commercial for the past 16 years. He is an RICS Registered Valuer and has spent most of his working life in Central London dealing with the sale and purchase of investment property and funding development schemes, primarily in the retail sector.

Throughout his 45 plus working years he has been involved with a wide range of properties throughout England, Wales, and Scotland. Some of his most notable transactions have been the funding of Dunfermline Kingsgate Shopping Centre, The Springs Buxton Shopping Centre, Llantrisant Retail Park in Wales and purchase of Kinnaird Park, Edinburgh.

16 years ago he turned his hand to the residential property market having outside interests in property development. This skill has been useful to the company in advising clients on the sale and purchase of sites.

John enjoys a round of golf and is an active member of West Byfleet Golf Club where he can very often be found at weekends in between watching his grandchildren play sport and spending time with his family.
